Corona Virus Update

It is with regret that we announce that as of Sat 21st we will no longer be accepting any orders for Mothers Day and will remain closed until the 30th March due to the Covid 19 outbreak. We would like to thank our customers for their support and understanding over the last few weeks. We hope you all remain safe and well and we hope to see you on the other side :)

Welcome to Postal Flowers. We offer a number of different delivery options, as outlined below.


            1) Flowers & Balloons By Post (Generally 2-3 Days Delivery Service)

            2) Flowers & Balloons Courier Service (Next Day Delivery Service)

            3) Same Day Flower & Balloon Delivery (Dublin & Most Areas in Ireland Except Next Day & Growers Box Range)


1) Flowers & Balloons & Plants By Post

Next Day Range (Flowers, Plants & Balloons) are delivered by An Post & Royal Mail to any Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland address.


As delivery is made by post we cannot deliver on Weekends or Bank Holidays and cannot guarantee a date of delivery although approx 90% are delivered with 2 days of order.


If you require a specific date of delivery, or same day delivery, please choose from our courier delivered next day delivery range of bouquets and arrangements which will be delivered by courier on your chosen day. If you require delivery the next day or specifically on a named day, many of our flower and balloon bouquets can also be upgraded to Next or Named Day courier delivery for a surcharge. Please see individual product pages for availability of this option.


For Christmas, Mother's Day and Easter, gifts will be dispatched in the week leading up to the event. Further information will be provided at the time of specific events.


All Postal Flowers & Balloons are delivered in a gift box, complete with a personal message card, and care instructions, ready to be arranged.



2) Next Day Courier Flower Delivery

Delivery is available Tuesday to Friday excluding bank holidays and Sundays. Bouquets will usually be delivered between 8.30 am and 6.00 pm. We are not able to guarantee timed deliveries.

Orders for Next Day Flower Delivery placed before 2.30 pm Monday to Thursday can normally be delivered the next day, with delivery on Monday for orders placed before 2.30 pm on Friday. If you require same day delivery, our Same Day local flower bouquets are available for a further fee and we have dedicated range for these types of flowers & balloons.

Next Day Delivery is available to most Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland Addresses.                                                                                                                                                        


3) Same Day Flower Delivery

Our Same Day bouquets and arrangements range are available for delivery by local florists on the day of your choice if ordered before 12.30pm. This delivery option carries a small delivery surcharge. Delivery is available Monday to Saturday excluding bank holidays and Sundays. Postal Flowers and Flowers In A Box may not available for same day delivery.

For events such as Christmas and Mother’s Day, special last minute delivery options will be available. Further information will be provided at the time of specific events.

What Do We Need From You To Help Us Deliver On Time?


To allow us to contact in the event of a problem with your order, please make sure that you have provided us with a valid email address and contact telephone number for both  you (the sender) and also the recipient)


Please make sure that someone is available at the delivery address to receive the Flower or Balloon delivery.


In the event of a delivery problem, if possible we will try and contact the customer to try to resolve the issue.


To ensure a successful delivery, please ensure that the delivery address is accurate and complete. If possible, please provide additional delivery instructions to help the delivery driver to find the recipient's address.


We cannot be held responsible for failed deliveries that result from a problem with the address or postal code provided at the time of ordering. We also are not held responsible if the delivery was refused by the recipient or if for some reason the recipient no longer lives at the address provided.


We are not responsible for any other costs incurred by the customer due to failed deliveries.


How Are My Flowers & Balloons Delivered (Postal & Next Day Deliveries)


Next Day Bouquets

Our Hand Tied Courier bouquets are pre-arranged and delivered in a flower box complete with a personal message card, flower food and care instructions. Some bouquets are also presented in their own boxes or containers - see the details of individual arrangements for the unique way in which each is presented.




Growers Flowers In A Box

Our flowers sold by the stem are packed in bud or close to bud. It is important to note that they are unarranged flowers and they can be arranged by the recipient as they see fit. They are delivered in a neat, secure box and are delivered with flower food to be added to water when they arrive.




Will my flowers stay fresh in the post?

We box your flowers them at the very last minute, so they’re seldom in the dark for long. The stems are carefully packaged in a hydro-gel that keeps the flowers fresh and hydrated, and our cardboard packaging is specially designed to let in fresh air while keeping your precious cargo protected.

When your bouquet arrives, some blooms may be a little tired from the journey. This is completely normal, simply follow these care instructions and your bouquet will perk up soon. For quick recovery, cut stems, add flower food and stand in deep water for a few hours prior to arranging in a vase.



Can you deliver Postal or Courier flowers to hospitals or universities?

For postal or courier deliveries to large businesses, hospitals, universities etc, deliveries will normally be made to the reception or post-room. Delivery to the named recipient is not possible to these types of addresses in many cases. Please note that these circumstances are outside our control. In this case, we will deliver to the reception area or post room.

To ensure the highest likelihood of delivery success, please ensure that you provide as much information regarding the location of the recipient as possible within the delivery instructions, including department name, floor number, etc.

We are not liable for the non-delivery of flowers to recipients at universities as we have no control of the delivery once it reaches the mailroom or reception.

Hospital-specific delivery issues

Deliveries to hospitals are often difficult as patients are moved between wards, or often they are discharged before delivery. Also many hospitals do not accept flower deliveries into certain wards due to health & safety restrictions. Please check with the hospital to confirm they accept flowers and make sure the recipient has not been discharged. All flower deliveries made to hospitals will be made at the purchasers own risk. No refund can be made for non delivery. For this reason we no longer recommend that flowers are delivered to a hospital by post or courier and it should only be delivered on the same day basis directly by our local florists.


Can I specify a time for my order to be delivered?

Generally no but you may select your delivery day. For all other orders, delivery typically takes place between 9.00am and 5.30pm. We are unable to specify a time, for example "between 2.00pm and 4.00pm" and can only stipulate that your order will be delivered during the working day. For time sensitive deliveries, you will be asked to provide further details during the checkout process.

Although delivery is normally on the chosen delivery date, we cannot guarantee an exact delivery date for our Postal Flowers or Flowers in a Box ranges. Flowers are normally delivered within 1 - 2 days of your chosen delivery date. To guarantee delivery, we recommend that the delivery date selected is the day before the flowers are required. However, this may mean that the flowers arrive a day early.

In the event of late delivery, we are unable to offer a refund or a resend.

We are unable to provide delivery notifications for orders delivered by post.

Delivery instructions cannot be followed.

Timed deliveries are not available.


 Can I order for delivery at the weekend?

Postal or Courier flowers are normally delivered Monday-Friday, but we are unable to offer delivery on a Saturday or Sunday due to high delivery costs. Same Day Flowers & Balloons delivered by our local shops and suppliers are available for Monday to Saturday delivery, although this is not possible for courier items as we always dispatch for next day delivery and do not have a collection on Sundays.


What happens if the recipient is not available to receive the delivery?

If the recipient is not available at the delivery address specified, we will typically leave the order with a neighbour or in a safe place at the delivery address. Alternatively, we may attempt redelivery later in the day. If this is not feasible or the recipient is unavailable when a later delivery is attempted, we will usually leave a calling card explaining what has happened. This will then allow the recipient to arrange collection of their gift locally. They may also be able to request delivery the next day but this is not always possible.

Due to the perishable nature of many of our products, we cannot be held responsible for deliveries which fail because your chosen recipient is not available at the given address. 24 hours after failed delivery and/or lack of contact from the intended recipient, courier delivered items will be returned to our HQ - we would then contact you to notify as such but no refund can be provided

What are the cut off times for ordering same day/next day delivered items?

Same day delivery is available Monday-Saturday. Where available, your order must be received by 1.30pm.

For Saturday same day delivery, where available, your order must be received by 11.00am.

Courier & Postal Flowers are available nationwide Tuesday to Friday, orders must normally be received by 2.30pm. Should you require a Monday delivery on a next day basis this is only possible from our same day flower and balloon delivery range.


 What is the Availability & Substitution Policy

Substitutions may be necessary to ensure your arrangement or specialty gift is delivered in a timely manner. The utmost care and attention is given to your order to ensure that it is as similar as possible to the requested item.


In arrangements of assorted flowers, the colors shown online will be used if at all possible, even if this means substituting other kinds of flowers of equal or greater value.

For one-of-a-kind flower arrangements, such as all roses or all lilies, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color.

If the floral container shown online is not available, a similar container will be used.

For green and blooming plants, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value.

For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, we will make every attempt to match the plant type, but may substitute with another color.

If the plant container shown online is not available, a similar container will be used.

Specialty & Balloon Gifts
Balloons & other gifts may be substituted with another balloon or gift of equal or greater value and of similar theme and category.
